Marin Telecommunications Agency

Overview


Marin Telecommunications is a Joint Powers Agency governed by an eleven-member Board of Directors consisting of representatives from each of the cities/towns and the County of Marin. Each category of membership has an alternate member.

History

 
Marin Telecommunications  Agency was formed in 1998 to negotiate and administer cable television franchises for its member agencies. Members include the County, and cities and towns or Belvedere, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Mill Valley, Ross, San Anselmo, San Rafael, Sausalito, and Tiburon. MTA is a joint power authority that administers the Comcast, AT&T and Horizon State cable franchises on behalf of its members. MTA also develops policies related to telecommunication services in Marin County. 

Board Information

Marin Telecommunications Agency meets every 2nd Wednesday of every other month at 7 p.m. Meetings take place at Corte Madera Town Hall located at 300 Tamalpais Dr, Corte Madera CA 94925.
